What it is

An encrypted channel between a firm and its client

Contracts, evidence and filings move inside the matter they belong to, not through an inbox.

Every delivery carries a timestamped record of who sent what, to whom and when — the record a firm can still rely on years later.

Swiss-hosted · Olm/Megolm encryption

Animation: a lawyer attaches three documents in a Letro chat and sends them. They travel end-to-end encrypted to the client’s phone and arrive as a letter with attachments. Illustrative example with fictional names.

How it works

From first draft to an exportable delivery chain

01

Open a Dossier for the matter

Add the client and any co-counsel as verified Principals.

02

Exchange documents in the thread

Drafts, signed versions and evidence travel encrypted, attached to the conversation they belong to.

03

Control who sees what

Access follows the Dossier. When a matter closes, access closes with it.

04

Export the record

Produce the delivery chain for a matter as evidence, timestamped and tamper-evident.

Why Letro

Why matter files belong here

Confidential by construction

Content is encrypted on the sender’s device and hosted in Switzerland. Neither Letro nor the homeserver can read it.

Structured, not scattered

Each client and each matter has its own Dossier, so every document is traceable to a conversation.

Proof when it is needed

Delivery and receipt are timestamped in a tamper-evident chain, exportable when a court or counterparty asks.

No friction for clients

Clients join from their phone with a verified PostNumber. No portal to explain, no password resets to support.

Discuss your deployment model

Standard rollout, private infrastructure, or stricter residency and isolation. The evidential foundation is the same.
