Use case
Client & Attorney Document Exchange
Contracts, evidence, filings and instructions — exchanged in real time, encrypted end to end, with privilege and the record intact.

What it is
A Swiss-hosted, end-to-end encrypted channel between a firm and its client, organised by matter. Contracts, evidence and filings move with a tamper-evident record of who sent what, to whom, and when — the record a firm can rely on years later.

Why matter files belong in Letro
Confidential by construction
Content is encrypted on the sender's device with Matrix Olm/Megolm and hosted in Switzerland. Neither Letro nor the homeserver can read it.
Structured, not scattered
Each client and each matter has its own Dossier. Documents are traceable to a conversation, not lost in an inbox.
Proof when it is needed
Delivery and receipt are recorded with timestamps in a tamper-evident chain, exportable when a court or counterparty asks.
No onboarding friction for clients
Clients join from their phone with a verified PostNumber. No client portal to explain, no password resets to support.
How document exchange works in Letro
One matter, one Dossier, one record.
01
Open a Dossier for the matter
Add the client and any co-counsel as verified Principals.
02
Exchange documents in the thread
Drafts, signed versions and evidence travel encrypted, attached to the conversation they belong to.
03
Control who sees what
Access follows the Dossier. When a matter closes, access closes with it.
04
Export the record
Produce the delivery chain for a matter as evidence, timestamped and tamper-evident.

Discuss Your Deployment Model
Whether you need a standard rollout, private infrastructure, or stricter residency and isolation requirements, Letro gives you a trustless foundation for secure client communication.
