What it is

The verified identity behind every Letro account

Letro issues a PostNumber once, at account creation, after identity verification. You verify your passport in the Letro app; once the check is complete, you receive a permanent, non-transferable identifier with a country prefix, tied to one verified person.

Because a PostNumber cannot be transferred or re-issued, every counterparty in your channel is who they say they are. That is what makes Letro records usable as evidence, and what stops impersonation before the first document moves.
