Use case

Secure external collaboration

Work with counterparties, regulators and partners across borders — with verified identities and a record built to stand up to evidentiary scrutiny.

How it works

Verify, exchange, keep the evidence

Every participant holds a verified PostNumber. Every send, delivery and acknowledgement is timestamped in a tamper-evident chain you can export on demand.

Animation: in the Halden Partners workspace, access is set to invite only. A temporary guest room is opened for Jonas Brandt of Nordhafen Capital and his PostNumber is verified. A signed document is sent end-to-end encrypted, delivered, read and acknowledged; the evidence chain records each event, then a verifiable export of the record is produced. Illustrative example with fictional names.

01

Verify the counterparty

External parties join with their own PostNumber. You see a verified identity, not an email address.

02

Exchange in a shared Dossier

Documents and messages travel encrypted between the two organisations’ homeservers.

03

Record every event

Each send, delivery and acknowledgement is timestamped and chained to the one before it.

04

Export when required

Produce the record for supervisors, auditors or courts in a verifiable form.

Why Letro

Why cross-organisation work belongs here

Verified on both sides

Every participant holds a PostNumber issued after identity verification, in any jurisdiction.

A record built for evidence

Sending, delivery and receipt are timestamped in a tamper-evident chain, retained for 10 years.

Federated, not centralised

On Matrix, approved organisations communicate across their own homeservers — no single vendor tenant.

Designed for eIDAS 2.0

The evidence model is built to support the requirements of qualified electronic registered delivery.

Compliance note

Letro’s evidence model is designed with eIDAS 2.0 in mind. Qualified-service status under QERDS is part of our roadmap, not a current certification.

Discuss your deployment model

Standard rollout, private infrastructure, or stricter residency and isolation. The evidential foundation is the same.
