Why Letro

Why firms switch to Letro.

Written for the unconvinced: what ordinary channels can't do for formal client work, what Letro does differently, and how to verify every claim yourself.

Soft light gradient background

01 · The status quo

Every channel you use was built for something else.

Consumer chat

Fast and familiar. But identities are unverified, records don't hold, and regulators have noticed.

Email

Universal, and fragmented. Threads split, versions drift, senders are spoofable, responsibility blurs.

CRM & portals

Good for internal operations. Rarely the secure, client-facing layer people actually want to use.

Paper letters

Formal on the surface. Slow, content unproven, costly, disconnected from the work.

02 · Side by side

What each channel can actually prove.

Letro treats a client exchange as one connected object: request, documents, decision and record, encrypted end-to-end between verified identities.

  • 1Phone number ≠ verified person.
  • 2Some apps; often not by default.
  • 3Internal logs, editable, not client-facing.
  • 4Read ticks without evidential weight.
  • 5Registered post proves the envelope, not the content.
  • 6Depends on provider and plan.
  • 7With paid archiving add-ons.
  • 8Physical archive, manual retrieval.

03 · Before and after

The same mandate, twice.

Over email

1

Request lands in a shared inbox.

2

Thread splits across replies and CCs.

3

Documents attach in three versions.

4

Identity assumed from the address line.

5

Months later: reconstruct the story from fragments.

In Letro

1

Request arrives in the case workspace.

2

One thread, verified identities.

3

Documents exchanged once, in order.

4

Delivery and reading recorded automatically.

5

Months later: export the record in minutes.

04 · Objections

Fair questions, straight answers.

Isn't WhatsApp already encrypted?

It is. WhatsApp encrypts content well. But it verifies phone numbers, not people, and keeps no evidential record. Regulators have fined firms heavily for exactly this.

We already have Microsoft Teams.

Teams is strong for internal collaboration. It wasn't designed as a verified, evidential channel between your firm and its clients.

Our clients won't install another app.

They don't have to. Address anyone by email; they open a temporary room, free, no account required. Your team works from iPhone, iPad, Android or the web app.

Why not registered post?

Registered post proves an envelope arrived, and that's real. It doesn't prove the content, encrypt anything, or let the exchange continue. Letro keeps the formality and adds the record.

05 · Verify it yourself

Don't take our word for it.
