A real name proves nothing
In September the SRA published 48 scam alerts, and at least 44 of them carried a real firm's or solicitor's name. Fewer than half came by email. A genuine name, logo or SRA number shows whom the fraudster chose to copy; it does not show who sent the message.
Issue No. 1 gathers the 29 records filed since 29 September: the September register leads, with the ICO's call for evidence on AI agents, FINMA's findings on Julius Bär and its new online identification rules. On 17 November: our study of every SRA scam alert since January 2025.
